Check Balls for deck drains, 2007 175 Baysport

PostTue May 26, 2015 3:40 pm

Hello, does anyone know where I can find replacement check balls for the deck drains on my 2007 175 Baysport? They never were on the boat so someone must have taken them. These are the balls that are supposed to prevent water from coming in to the boat but let it drain out from the deck. Thanks.

These worked for me in my 2006 197sf. I think yours are the same:

Unfortunately, it seems like their web site is dead. Here is the info from my order if you want to try to call or google around:

Here is the website that a rep from Pioneer provided me for the 1 3/4 inch HEC (Scupper Balls). I called them looking for some. FYI, they do not have them and the newer boats used a different size now. It works. I need some as mine are worn out. Want to split an order? I am placing an order now so if you want 6 balls let me know. I can't imagine needing 12. POC info.. twbannon@gmail.com

Yes, that is them. Website seems to be back up. I replaced mine with these about 5 years ago and they are still going strong. -- Bud

UPDATE: Check Balls for deck drains, 2007 175 Baysport

PostSat Jun 06, 2015 9:52 am

I will update when or if I get these HEC Balls. FYI, I paid via pay pal on 29 May, no order yet, and I am only 1 or 2 days mail from Charlotte where they are. Also, no confirmation email which seemed strange from the beginning. Now that I am inquiring, the emails to their customer service get rejected by server. One of the phone numbers is not in service and another phone that is listed with pay pal goes straight to a message saying unavailable... Not inspiring confidence with my order.

By the way, I am surprised that just because Pioneer changed the ball size on newer boats, that THEY do not stock these for all the older boats. Or maybe I need to go back to the company that made the drains? In the meantime, Anyone got another company that makes a 1 3/4 inch ball that will work with the drains?

Again, I will update when status changes. Thanks.

Do you have a physical address in Charlotte? If so I'll run by there and see if I can find out anything.

Hey thanks. It is still in dispute with pay pal awaiting their response. The address is actually listed in Rock Hill. At: 1416 Spring Dr Rock Hill, SC 29730. I would not be surprised if it is operated out of a house. Pay pal says they are supposed to reply by 26 June so I should know something soon as I am guessing they will not reply. I would not waste your time on it. My time is already gone over the 10 dollars and change. Lol. I just still want some supper balls.

I just ordered a dozens of these "balls". If anyone is interest in a few of them just shoot me an email and I can send you some for the cost of shipping and a couple of bucks. I'm never going to use a dozen!

if anyone is interested in finding scupper balls, just go to Toys R Us. They have the little Green balls used in one of the toy guns. I bought a bag of 6 for about 7 dollars and replaced them on my boat and they are still going strong.
