I just bought a 197 Islander. Love the boat...just wish there was more storage space. I'm interested in putting the MinKota 112 on the bow. Can you send me a copy of the template? I really like the looks of your setup. Thanks

Can you see a reason this would not work for the 222? I really like your design. Could you please send me the template also? Thanks.

Emailed you the templates. I looked at pictures I have of the bow of the 222SF and it is hard to tell but it looks like it may work. Now on that one you will want the 72" MK or Rhodan or the new 84" Rhodan. Please let me know if the templates seems to work.

Pioneer 180,
Awesome step by step instructions on this install, seems you have helped a lot of people out on this issue. I've got a 197sf I'm wanting to install an ipilot on and would much appreciate it if I could get the template for it. I've have already sent you a PM, thanks so much.

Great article. I am going to buy the riptide ulterra and after reading your article, you made my decision to purchase the 112/72 for the 197 Islander easier. I too, liked the 2 battery setup of the 80, but we get some strong currents and Northeasters up in Jax, so 3 batteries it is. Could you send me your pdf of your plate? Thanks in advance.
