That can't be a real recipe. Cause anyone from the South knows roadkill IS acceptable in recipes. :spam1:

Hey, do you get more flavor out of it if you leave the head on? Is the tail strong enough to hold it like one holds a drum stick? Where can I get some opossum traps? :tongue8:

The tails were strong. I stapled them to the columns on my front porch to skin them. ( i would advise using the backporch, my old lady was not happy about that)

I chopped both of their heads off, so I cant vouch for the extra flavor, although I would be willing to bet it would help a little!

You really dont need traps, just drive down some country roads reeeeeely fast!

I only cook the heads if I'm having company over. You get a little more volume. Serves about two extra. I like to deep fry the the tails right before I serve dinner. They puff up like a big bugle. Little Texas Pete and uumm good. Don't let anyone else see it or there will be a fight. It's like the oysters on the turkey at Thanksgiving. No one else gets it cause it's a lil treat for myself.

You guys a NUTS! .............. I would think there's no need for skinnin, cause when you BBQ them the hair burns off and get a nice crispy n crunchy bite. No traps huh .... I get it, you get them n tenderizing in one easy step. Works for me. Are the tongues a delicacy?
